Introduction
The Puripher CarboSafe is an electronic precision measuring instrument which not only reacts to unburnt CO gas,
but also to other gases that are released at imperfect combustion. The Puripher CarboSafe has a built-in
self-checking routine which calibrates the equipment at regular intervals, making the Puripher CarboSafe highly
reliable. An important application of the CarboSafe is monitoring the CO-level in greenhouse cultivations thus
securing a safe CO dosage.
Principle of operation
Once activated, the CarboSafe provides a constant sampling of flue gases through a built-in pump system. Before
the sample gas enters the instrument, it is first cooled down, dried and filtered. Then it can be measured and
analyzed. For the measurement a semi-conductor is used, which shows a change in resistance when any unburnt
element is present in the flue gas. This leads to a current variation which, after amplification, is compared to a set
value. When exceeding the set value the CarboSafe will alert. In total 4 levels of alarm can be set.
